A little slice of urban cake

I would like to think I know everything about the things I love (who wouldn't) but sadly, I don't. I am still on the long metaphorical brick road of being an expert in the likes of fashion, right through to music...but till then, I'm making a Blog on what I do know. And here it is.

Olympic torch

“unity Youth Theatre” have been given the chance to perform a peice of street theatre, for the passing of the olympic torch, in liverpool, hope street, today. The theatre, is meant to entertain the audience, whilst they wait for the torch to pass. Im not usualy the type to get nervous before a show however, the fact that these people have not paid to see this, and have no inclination to watch, worrys me slightly. However, we have great peices that im sure you will all love. So if you fancy coming to see me and my theatre group performing, then get to hope street at about 4.30 today (dont worry, I will upload pictures of our silly costumes…as they willl be silly)

You should have got a better bed, better for your head. This picture, was taken from the newest “Hollyoaks” advert “the savage party”. It truly is a fantastic advert, and I suggest that if you get the chance, watch it on youtube. On reflection, I think that what makes the advert so intruging is, the strong emphasis on the Shakesperian era however, twisted with our modern 21st century. And, as an aspiring actress, All things Shakesperian work well with me

June

Happy first of June! What a splendid month this is going to be. With my Drama exam out of the way, I only have 2 more to focus on “Music” and “English lit”. But believe me, the study of “Vaughan Williams” is no easy task. Moving on, I turn 18 next thursday, and am extremely excited. Im not going to delude myself, or anybody else by saying that I dont love the attention, because I do…(I like to think of it as “only child syndrome”) but, the excitement of the day and the party, are just too much. On the wednesday before my 18th, in preperation, im getting my nails done with “shelac” witch ensures my nails will be perfect for up to 4 weeks (that surpasses prom also). The birthday is exciting, as I finaly get my long awaited pressents (that I shall post little pictures of, on the day) then finaly, by the friday, its the party. As i have hired out a bar, im slightly worried about who can and can not get in, with it being no under 18s, however, I am confident in the matter that more 18+ people were invited. Oh and of course, I got my hair dip dyed pink, last wednesday, in preparation for my birthday dress, and shoes (that I too, will post a picture of…the full outfit). So yeah, a week full of anticipation, and wating, but I should enjoy my last 6 days of being “17”.

Great Quotes:

  • Shakespeare: "Never play with the feelings of others because you may win the game but the risk is that you will surely lose the person for a lifetime."
  • Napoleon: "The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of good people."
  • Einstein: "I am thankful to all those who said NO to me, because of them I did it myself"
  • Mahatma Gandhi: "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong"
  • Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
  • A quote a day, keeps insanity away!

Noah and the whale. Described by wikipedia as being a “criticaly acclaimed indie folk band”, described by me as being “a good gig”.

I find it beautiful that, no matter where you go, daisys will grow. I think that they are my favorite flower, and have been since childhood. What other flower has a chain named after it? “daisy chain”.

I was having early morning breakfast on my balcony, when this little birdy friend decided to join in. Who am I to turn away a guest?!

Imagination is our sword

The following verse, is taken from one of the most uplifting songs I have listened to of late. Enter Shikari’s “Constellations” is fantasy-like , and as always political. However, I believe the following lines should be reflected upon. Enjoy, you beautiful people.

“We need to use our own two feet to walk these tracks, and we need to grow up, and watch each others backs. With forgivness as our torch, and imagination our sword, Well ill tie the ropes of hate, and slash open the minds of the bored. And we will start our own world, so equal and free, every inch of this earth is yours, all the land and all the sea. Imagine no restrictions but the climate and the weather. And we can explore space, together, forever.”
